Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today criticised the leaders of the Opposition for politicising the issue of employment generation in the state, and accused them of confusing and misleading students by provoking them to corner the TRS government on the matter.
Speaking after participating in a number of development programs in Warangal, he flayed the parties of the Opposition for their alleged attempts to gain political mileage by spreading misinformation regarding employment opportunities in the state.
"It is a shame that the parties of the Opposition are provoking students and misguiding the public by misrepresenting reality. They have been spreading lies about employment generation in the state and have been driving the youth into a state of panic. I would like to assure the state's job seekers that our government will surely offer employment to them through the necessary notifications. It is especially strange to see the leaders of the BJP crying themselves hoarse on the matter as their own party at the Centre has been unable to keep its promise of providing two crore jobs annually. Unlike the BJP government at the Centre, we have provided government jobs to about 1.32 lakh people in the state over the last six years. The Opposition should remember this before making unfounded claims," he charged.
It also seemed the minister had had enough of the slew of allegations levelled against the TRS regime by the Opposition following the
suicide of an unemployed youth from Warangal, B Sunil Naik, who passed away earlier this month.
"It is the leaders of the Opposition who had brainwashed Sunil Naik to level false allegations against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao - Naik wanted to become an IAS which is not something that the state government plays a role in, in the first place. The BJP and the Congress provoked him into taking a drastic step, and are now trying to make it seem like our government is to blame for the youngster's untimely demise. I would urge the two parties to refrain from spreading any more lies about our government even though we continually work to bring development to Telangana. Both the parties are known for habitually stalling development and slandering us. But now we have had enough and will not remain quiet any longer," he warned.
Earlier in the day, KTR laid the foundation for some beautification projects and some double-bedroom houses.
