The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education Secretary Ashok Kumar said that the Board, for the first time, was using a GPRS system to monitor MMSs and SMSs from mobiles to curb copying.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Kumar said that the Board had also arranged flying squads and sitting squads to eliminate malpractices in the conduct of the examinations, and had taken all possible measures in general to conduct the upcoming Intermediate examinations smoothly.
He informed that 1,257 centres were set up to conduct the examination, and that 9,64,664 students were appearing for it. He urged the students to reach the examination centres 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination, and made it clear that no students would be allowed inside the examination centres if they came even a minute late.
The Board had also already spoken to the relevant government officials for the arrangement of transport facilities for the students, Kumar said.
The Board was also arranging water and furniture facilities for the students, and had also alerted the district officials to keep on standby medical facilities for the students this time, he added.
Stating that the students needed to download their hall tickets from www.tsbie.gov.in, he warned the college managements of action in case they created any problems for the students in getting their hall tickets.
