Telangana Marketing Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday said that the government was considering a proposal to start a Rs 10 meal scheme for labourers.
Speaking to media persons after reviewing the Rythu Bandhu Pathamakam at Telugu University, Harish Rao said that the government would introduce the subsidised meal scheme after having a thorough review with the officials.
He also announced that the government was keen to introduce e-Marketing, e-trading and e-tendering.
He said that the conditions at market yards would be improved, and that farmers would be involved in the policy-making decisions.
Harish Rao also said that the government was trying to increase the mandays under the NREGS. (INN)
