Government To Celebrate Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu
Marking the completion of its first year, the Congress government in Telangana announced grand celebrations to be held on December 7, 8 and 9.

The Congress government, marking the completion of its first year, today announced grand celebrations titled "Praja Palana Praja Vijayotsavalu - 2024" to be held on December 7, 8 and 9 in Hyderabad.
To ensure the success of these events, the party Hyderabad in-charge and minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a strategic review meeting today with key leaders, including MLAs, corporators, DCC presidents and Assembly candidates.
AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and the Chief Minister's advisor Vem Narender Reddy attended the meeting.
The review session outlined plans for division-level events, awareness campaigns on government schemes, and large-scale public gatherings. Prabhakar urged party leaders to coordinate effectively, engage actively with citizens, and conduct padayatras in each division to showcase the government's initiatives.
"The grand finale of the celebrations on December 9 will feature the unveiling of a Telangana Talli statue at the Secretariat and a victory rally at Tank Bund, expected to draw over one lakh attendees," Prabhakar said.
"Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate development projects worth Rs 20,000-30,000 crore under the 'Rising Hyderabad' initiative, aimed at transforming the city. The government also plans to highlight its flagship schemes, including free bus services for women, Rs 500 LPG cylinders, 200 units of free electricity, and the recently implemented Rs 22,000 crore farm loan waiver," he added.
Addressing the gathering, Goud urged leaders to intensify grassroots campaigns, and tell the people about the government's achievements including filling over 50,000 jobs in just 11 months.
Dasmunsi called for the need to strengthen the party's presence in Greater Hyderabad ahead of the GHMC elections, to ensure a Congress victory.
The meeting concluded with a call for unity and active participation from all stakeholders to ensure the event's success and bolster the party's position in the upcoming electoral challenges.
