Telangana Director Of Public Health Dr G Srinivas Rao today said that the Covid-19 recovery rate in the state was more than 90%.
He claimed in a press conference that the government had been taking aggressive measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus, and that the efforts were paying off.
One lakh tests had been conducted for every 10 lakh people in the state, he said.
Also, the death rate among the people affected by Covid-19 (the disease caused by the coronavirus) was quite less in the state and recovery rate was much higher, he claimed.
Gandhi Hospital had only 350 cases now as most of the patients had recovered, he said.
But while the cases were on a decline, the people needed to be on greater alert due to the rains now and the upcoming festival season, he said.
