Opening a new front against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, five Congress MPs from the Telangana region, on Tuesday, moved a contempt petition against him for their arrest during the Telangana March held on September 30.
The MPs - Manda Jagannatham, G Vivek, Ponnam Prabhakar, S Rajaiah and Madhu Yashki Goud - in their petition, lodged before Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, alleged that the Chief Minister had gotten them arrested illegally. They requested the Speaker to take necessary action against Kiran Kumar Reddy by registering a case of contempt of the House against him. (INN)
