Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's poll survey was a way to play mind games with the people and the Opposition.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Reddy claimed that there not an ounce of truth in the survey conducted by the Chief Minister.
He challenged KCR to direct Congress and TDP MLAs, who were lured to the TRS party with cash, to tender their resignations and conduct by-elections if the survey was true. He also challenged the legitimacy of the survey as the name of the institution which conducted it was kept under the wraps.
He slammed the survey for claiming that the Chief Minister was the most popular figure in Telangana. He said that this could not be true as KCR had failed to fulfill the promises he made during the elections.
In this context, he recalled the alleged rise in the rate of farmer suicides in the State, and some welfare schemes such as fee reimbursement that the government allegedly delayed.
