State Confirms Missing Covid-19 Patient's Death
Health Minister Etala Rajender said that the name of the missing person was Eswaraiah, and that he had died within 24 hours of admission to Gandhi Hospital.
Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajender today confirmed the death of a missing Covid-19 patient.
He said that the government did not reveal the death of the patient to his family members as they were concerned about the health conditions of the family members.
He said that the name of the missing person was Eswaraiah, and that he had died within 24 hours after his admission to Gandhi Hospital due to Covid-19.
He added that the son of Eswaraiah had also died on April 1.
The minister said that the government did not reveal the news of the deaths of Eswaraiah to his wife as officials thought that she would not be able to bear the shock of two deaths in the family.
He also said that the last rites of Eswaraiah had been performed with the help of GHMC staff.
The minister said that the victim had approached four to five hospitals before visiting Gandhi Hospital. He added that the victim had passed away due to co-morbidities.
The news of the death came to light after Eswaraiah's wife approached minister K T Rama Rao through his Twitter account.
She told the minister that her husband had been missing ever since he had been admitted at Gandhi hospital.
