CM, Governor Greet Citizens For New Year
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and top opposition leader Uttam Kumar Reddy extended New Year greetings to the people today.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today conveyed his New Year greetings to the people of Telangana.
The CM said that within a short span of six years after the formation of the State, Telangana stood first in the country on several parameters, and expressed hope that taking inspiration from all these victories that it had achieved, the State would march forward much faster in the new year.
He also called upon the people to take a New Year pledge to make the State totally literate. He asked every educated person to adopt the "each one teach one" slogan and teach the uneducated.
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan too extended New Year greetings to the people of the State, and expressed wishes that the New Year would bring cheer and happiness to all of them.
On New Year day, January 1, the Governor will, as a customary practice, be available to exchange greetings with the public and leaders of civil society at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan between 11 am and 12 noon.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, too, conveyed his wishes to the people of the State. He expressed hope that the New Year would bring in happiness to all of the four crore people in the State.
