IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said KCR had rejected the budget prepared by the Finance Department, and asked officials to prepare a people-centric Budget.
Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said that the Telangana government would introduce a people-centric and pro-development development Budget for the State.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inauguration of the exhibition "Colour of Rajasthan" at Kalinga Bhavan in Banjara Hills on Wednesday, KTR denied the allegations of the Bharatiya Janata Party which claimed that the TRS government planned to pass the budget through an ordinance.
KTR said that unlike the BJP, which gave away 7 mandals of Khammam district to Seemandhra through an ordinance, the TRS government did not believe in the ordinance approach.
He said that the Telangana budget would be passed in the Assembly.
KTR also said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had rejected the customary budget prepared by the Finance Department, and directed officials to prepare a practical and people-centric Budget.
The minister also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not finalising the allocation of All India Service officials to Telangana.
He said that the AIS allocation would help the State in effective planning and implementation of welfare schemes.
Replying to a question on his Party's completion of 100 days in power, KTR said that big achievements could not be expected in just 100 days, and that the Centre should have supported the TRS government in bringing in development. (INN)
