In yet another war of words between the Telugu Desam Party and its expelled problem child Nagam Janardhan Reddy, TDP leaders Revanth Reddy, Seethakka and Gangula Kamalakar all lashed out at Nagam today.
Revanth Reddy said Nagam never remembered his Telangana cause in 2001 when KCR had quit the party citing Telangana loyalties, or in 2008 when Devender Goud had set off doing the same (he founded the Nava Telangana Praja Party then, but went on to join the Praja Rajyam Party, before finally rejoining the TDP in 2009), or in 2009 when the TDP itself was immersed in questions pertaining to the Telangana agitation.
Revanth Reddy went on to sarcastically allege that it was only after Nagam's term as PAC (Public Accounts Committee) chairman had ended that he finally remembered the cause of Telangana statehood.
Seethakka, who was also present, condemned Nagam's attacks on the TDP, saying that the latter is making irresponsible statements now that he is out of the party.
Nagam, meanwhile, accused TDP party president Chandrababu Naidu of making baseless allegations against him just to divert people's attention from the Telangana issue (Naidu had alleged that Nagam's Telangana Nagara was being funded by leaders from Seemandhra).
