Telugu Desam Party MLA P Keshav on Wednesday claimed that his party's threat of laying seige to the Chief Minister's residence has forced the government to agree to provide clarifications sought by TDP leaders on the Telangana Bill.
Speaking to media persons, Keshav welcomed the statement of Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who assured that he would provide information sought by the TDP members with regard to the Telangana Bill.
He said that the TDP would use that information to prove its contention that injustice is being done to the Seemandhra region. He said that the information could be used during the debate, and also to make a representation to the Centre.
Dismissing the YSR Congress Party's allegations of match-fixing, he said that Jaganmohan Reddy himself was not serious about the Samaikyandhra issue. He asked why, when Jagan met leaders of different political parties, he avoided the Central government, which could stop the division of the state. (INN)
