TDP Ridicules Jagan Demand For CBI Probe Into Kapu Violence
Taunting Jagan, the TDP said that this was not a quid pro quo or a money laundering case to be handed over to the CBI, but an incident of violence.

TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy today ridiculed the demand of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to hand over the Tuni violence incident to the CBI.
Addressing a press conference, Somireddy contended that no railway property was damaged even during the freedom struggle or Telangana agitation days. The students who organized even rail roko programs during the Telangana agitation had been booked and were still attending court hearings, he pointed out. The Tuni railway station being torched and damaged during the Kapu reservation agitation was therefore an act of violence and not an incident of agitation, he claimed.
Taunting Jagan for his demand, Somireddy said that this was not a quid pro quo or a money laundering case to be handed over to the CBI, but an incident of violence. That was also the reason the Mudragada was threatening to consume pesticide when the police went to his house, the TDP leader alleged. The perpetrators should have been arrested immediately after the incident, but the police decided to initiate action after a thorough inquiry, he said.
