Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former minister Devender Goud on Saturday revealed that his party leaders from Telangana region would desist from participating in the Andhra Pradesh formation day celebrations on November 1st.
Talking to media persons, Goud stated that the decision to not participate in the celebrations was taken in deference to the wishes of the people from the region.
The former home minister charged the Congress of trying to create chaos in the State with the aim of weakening the TDP in the State.
The TDP leader alleged that the Congress had deliberately planted rumours of according a union territory status to Hyderabad to create even more confusion in the State.
Goud also accused the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao, Srikrishna Committee member-secretary V K Duggal and Governor Narasimhan had become pawns in the hands of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.
