The video involving YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav has generated big political heat in AP with the Telugu Desam Party lodging a complaint with the Lok Sabha Speaker against Madhav, demanding stringent action against him.

TDP MPs Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and Kanakamedala Ravinda Kumar told media persons in New Delhi that the YSRCP was trying to divert the issue of its MP, and that the party had become a master of diversion politics.

"The YSRCP always tries to bail out its party leaders, including Gorantla Madhav now, from criminal cases, and thus we had to file a complaint against the MP with the Lok Sabha Speaker. We are confident that the Speaker will act on our letter," they said.

Ram Mohan Naidu was of the firm belief that the YSRCP was making every effort to save Madhav from this mess as the party was of the strong opinion that if action was initiated against the MP, then not a single leader of its would be safe.

"Almost all the YSRCP leaders are involved in either videos or audios. Instead of taking action against the MP, the YSRCP leaders are blaming the TDP. The party is utilising all kinds of weapons to safeguard the MP, and Government Advisor Sajjala Ram Krishan Reddy has been changing tack every minute on this. If an MP is spared then tomorrow even a common man will resort to such activities and action cannot be initiated against them," he lamented.

"The safety of women in Andhra Pradesh is under threat, and Madhav's issue has proved it beyond doubt. The YSRCP should therefore initiate immediate measures for women protection," he added.

Ravindra Kumar said that even woman leaders in the YSRCP were feeling ashamed of Madhav. "How much time does it take to get the forensic lab report on Madhav's video? Why are you maintaining silence on this?" he asked.

He added that not just MPs from Andhra Pradesh, but all MPs were seriously discussing the issue of Madhav.

He also asked why the video involving Madhav and the issue of the TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu were linked. "Where is the connection between the two? Not even an FIR has been booked against Naidu, and the High Court dismissed the case, but the government went in for an appeal against it. The YSRCP has no ethics," he said.

"In politics, there are no enemies but only rivals. But after the YSRCP came to power, the party has only enemies and no rivals. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy just keeps blaming Chandrababu Naidu, and is not taking any steps for the welfare of the people and to check the criminal cases. And in what capacity is Sajjala holding media conferences? He is just a government employee. Why is he responding on every issue?" Kanakamedala asked.
