Senior Congress leader and MLC K R Amos, on Saturday, appealed to the Congress High Command to table the Telangana Bill in Parliament at the earliest to stop the ongoing war of words between the leaders of the two regions, Telangana and Seemandhra.
Speaking to media persons, Amos said that there appears to be no end to the verbal war which was triggered after the Congress Working Committee's
announcement on the new Telangana state.
Therefore, he said, the Centre should table the Telangana Bill in the ongoing monsoon session, to put a permanent end to the debates on the state's bifurcation. He said that the implementation of the decision should be hastened to ensure that things do not get complicated further.
Further, Amos said that all Congress leaders should accept and abide by the decision taken by the Congress High Command on giving statehood to the Telangana region. (INN)
