State Minister T G Venkatesh on Wednesday expressed confidence that the Telangana Bill would be defeated in the State Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here, Venkatesh said that the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is like "division of bodies and souls" of Telugu people.
He appealed to leaders from Seemandhra region to fight unitedly against the state's bifurcation.
He also stated that the Telangana leaders were unitedly presurrising the Centre and therefore, he said all Seemandhra leaders should counter their moves by cutting across party lines.
Venkatesh said that the Seemandhra MLAs are more in numbers in the Legislative Assembly and that they would express their strength on the floor of the House.
Besides defeating the Bill, he said that the views and sentiments of people from Seemandhra region would be expressed during the debate on Telangana Bill. (INN)
