Suspended Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Ambati Rambabu on Saturday demanded that the Congress high command make its stand clear on his suspension.
The PCC leader, who came to Gandhi Bhavan to appear before the Congress Disciplinary Committee chairman K Satyanarayana Raju to submit his explanation, was shocked as no members were present in the chambers.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Rambabu said that he has not yet received any communication from the high command regarding his suspension from the party.
He also said that he had written to AICC general secretary and Party In-Charge of Andhra Pradesh Affairs Veerappa Moily seeking clarification on his suspension. He maintained that he had only got news that he was suspended from the party through media reports and his friends and well-wishers but no official communication.
Stating that the high command has not followed proper norms over his suspension, Ambati pointed out that his suspension from the party remains illegal if the Disciplinary Committee fails to conduct an inquiry.
He alleged that some vested interests in the party were acting against him to finish his political career.
The staunch YSR-turned-YSJ supporter described Jagan as a 'drop of clean water in a salty ocean'. He also praised Jagan for restraining himself from speaking out against his detractors during the Odarpu Yatra.
