Spices Park Worth Rs. 30 Crores In Telangana
Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said a spices park to help farmers circumvent middlemen and profit directly was being set up in the state.
Minister for Agriculture P Srinivas Reddy said that an amount of Rs. 30 crores would be spent on setting up a "Spices Park" in the state.
The minister, along with MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy and TSIIC Managing Director Narasimha Reddy, held a high level review meeting with officials on the subject, where it was proposed that the park should be set up near Velpur village in Nizamabad district.
Outlining the plan for the proposed park, the minister said that sheds would be constructed in the first phase, and internal roads and drainage would be built in the second. Toilets and other amenities, too, would be constructed for the convenience of businessmen and farmers, he said, and asked the officials to take steps to provide these facilities.
