State BJP president G Kishan Reddy, on Monday, accused the Congress High Command of engineering the ongoing agitations in the Seemandhra region.
Talking to reporters, Kishan Reddy said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi was encouraging unrest in both Telangana and Seemandhra, as she was "still not sincere" about giving statehood to the Telangana region.
He also accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of having failed to take his cabinet colleagues into confidence over the Telangana issue.
He said that the present agitation in Seemandhra is the result of the failure of both the Central and state governments. He demanded that the Centre table the Telangana bill in the monsoon session of Parliament.
He alleged that the Congress party has entered into a secret agreement with the TRS and the TDP to make Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of India.
However, he claimed that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was capable of providing a stable government in the country.
The BJP leader also alleged that MIM activists were attacking the BJP offices in the Seemandhra region.
Addressing a separate press conference, senior leader Bandaru Dattatreyya opposed the proposal of making Hyderabad the joint capital of the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
