Somesh Kumar on Thursday assumed charge as the Special Officer of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Speaking to media persons, the Special Officer assured that he would perform to the expectations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and would strive hard to fulfill the latter's vision of making Hyderabad a world-class city.
After serving as the GHMC Commissioner for the past few months, Somesh Kumar said he had gained a lot of experience, and would utilise the same for the development of the GHMC areas.
He said that a lot of improvement was needed in certain areas and new systems needed to be adopted to provide better services to the citizens.
He said that importance would be given to the immediate redressal of grievances, especially those referred by the public representatives.
Special Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, the Engineer-in-Chief, the Chief Engineer and all the senior officials and staff of the GHMC welcomed the Special Officer, GHMC, presenting a bouquet to him. (INN)
