Sircilla's Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K T Rama Rao, on Saturday, wrote a letter to Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar, speaking against the violation of protocol by Karimnagar district officials.
In his letter, KTR sought an inquiry into the issue, and sought strong disciplinary action against the district officials for the violation of protocol and showing a negligent attitude towards the elected representatives.
It may be recalled that Civil Supplies minister D Sridhar Babu, on behalf of the government, had distributed cheques to families of Sircilla's weavers who had ended their lives due to financial problems. However, local MLA K T Rama Rao, who was also a privilege committee member from the district, was not invited to the program.
KTR said that the district officials had forgotten to invite him despite his availability for the program. He sought an explanation from the officials, and asked for action against them for the violation of protocol. In the letter, he also alleged that the district collector was conducting review meetings without informing to him. (INN)
