7 Killed As Lorry Rams Bus In Karimnagar District

At least seven people were killed and 15 others injured, three of them critically, when a TSRTC bus was hit by a lorry in Karimnagar district of Telangana.

At least seven people were killed and 15 others injured, three of them critically, when a TSRTC bus was hit by a lorry near Chamjerla under Manakonduru mandal of Karimnagar district this morning.

The victims were travelling in the bus, which was on its way from Huzurabad to Karimnagar.

The lorry hit a motorcyclist, too.

The injured have been rushed to a government hospital at Karimnagar.

It is learnt that some 40 passengers were in the bus at the time of the accident. The lorry driver and cleaner were also injured in the mishap.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed his shock over the ghastly incident, and ordered the district administration to provide best medical care to the injured. Finance Minister Etela Rajendar rushed to the spot and supervised the relief operations.

This is the second ghastly accident involving a TSRTC in the last two days. On May 26, at least 10 people were killed and 20 injured when a TSRTC bus hit a lorry, which later collided with a container and a Qualis.
