The members of Legislative Assembly and Council hailing from the Seemandhra region tore down copies of the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Bill, 2013, here on Monday.
TDP MLA Devineni Uma tore the copies of the Bill at the Assembly's media point, in protest against the state's bifurcation.
Another TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav objected to the tabling of the Bill without taking a decision on it in the Business Advisory Committee meeting.
He demanded that the Bill be sent back to the President without debate.
Some ugly scenes came to the fore at the media point of Legislative Council.
The MLCs of TDP and TRS clashed with each other after TDP MLCs Satish Reddy and Nannapaneni Rajkumari tore the copies of the Bill.
TRS MLC Swamy Goud tried to prevent them from doing so and they ended up pushing each other.
The policemen tried to prevent the MLCs from hurting each other.
In the melee, Rajkumari fell down. (INN)
