The meeting of Seemandhra leaders today has adopted a resolution seeking a united Andhra Pradesh.
MPs, MLAs, and MLCs from the Seemandhra region met at Ministers' Quarters today, and after confabulations, arrived at the decision to work towards a united state.
The leaders also decided to go to Delhi on January 21, and asserted that they would not go back on their resignations if the situation indeed compels them to resign.
However, Manikya Varaprasad, Vijay Kumar and Pardhasarathy said that they would abide by the High Command's decision.
In all, 62 persons attended the meeting, while some others expressed their inability to attend it, citing various reasons. Minister Sailajanath said, "The meeting has unanimously adopted a resolution opposing the creation of a separate state."
Minister T G Venkatesh said that no decision would be taken before January 28. he also said that the issue of Rayalaseema was not discussed in the meeting, and that the meet was confined to the future course of action about the subject of Telangana. (INN)q
