The LB Nagar police has been directed to register a case against Charminar MLA Pasha Quadri for questioning the existence of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the Assembly premises.
A court in Ranga Reddy district has directed the LB Nagar police to register a case against Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri for questioning the existence of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly premises.
The court has directed that the police book a case under Sections 121A (Waging war against the nation), 124A (sedition), 153B (assertions prejudicial to national integration), 500 (prosecution for defamation) and other relevant sections. The directions were issued following a complaint lodged by an advocate.
It may be mentioned that while addressing a public meeting, Pasha Quadri questioned the existence of Gandhiji's statue in the Assembly premises, which was built by Nizams. He is likely to be arrested soon. (INN)
