The CID sleuths have unearthed a major scam of misappropriation from the CM's Relief Fund by presenting false medical bills and drawing huge amounts.
The CID has so far arrested 10 persons, including five middlemen, for drawing amounts to the tune of Rs 73 lakhs from the CM's Relief Fund by falsely presenting medical bills.
The scam came to light when the CID sleuths perused and verified over 1,200 medical bills pertaining to 50 hospitals. During the verification, the investigating officials reportedly found that 112 medical bills were falsely submitted to draw amounts.
