Main accused in the Satyam accounting fraud, B Ramalinga Raju, was discharged from the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Saturday.
Raju was admitted into the hospital 10 months ago for Hepatitis- C treatment, after being shifted from Chanchalguda jail, where he was lodged after being arrested over the accounting fraud.
According to hospital sources, the whopping hospital bill of Rs. 8 lakhs was cleared by Raju before his discharge.
Raju had obtained bail on August 18th and was attending court from the hospital as per the bail conditions.
Raju's counsel Bharath Kumar told media persons that the former Satyam chairman was advised 12 weeks of bed rest and isolation. He revealed that Raju had been advised to visit the hospital once every week for follow-up treatment and checkups.
