Former union minister and former senior Congress leader Sarve Satyanarayana on Sunday reacted sharply against the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee suspending him from the party.
He claimed that the state unit of the party did not have the powers to suspend him as he was an AICC member, and that he was totally loyal to party supremo Sonia Gandhi.
He reiterated his statement that the party's state in-charge Kuntia and TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy were alone responsible for the defeat of the party in the recent Telangana elections.
He also said that the AICC did not ask either of them to hold the review meeting in which he reportedly went ballistic. He said that those who did not contest the elections also took part in the meeting, and that his rivals in the party made these "rowdy-sheeters" attack him, which necessitated his reacting sharply as he could not tolerate the attacks by the "goons".
He also alleged that some TPCC leaders had worked as coverts of the TRS and ensured its victory in the Assembly elections, and vowed to take revenge against those who suspended him from the party.
