Wearing the same red saree her mother wore for her own wedding 25 years ago, Sania Mirza set out towards Taj Krishna in a black Benz for her nikaah. The groom, Shoaib Malik, was dressed in a black sherwani.
Announced two weeks earlier, the nikaah is set to be a private affair attended by closest of friends and families, taking place after the 1pm prayers. The reception dinner is expected to be a grand affair.
The mehendi & sangeet ceremonies are scheduled for Tuesday (April 13) and Wednesday (April 14), respectively. The reception will be held at Taj Krishna on April 15 as scheduled.
