Union Minister M M Pallam Raju faced the wrath of the Samaikyandhra protestors at Pithapuram on Monday.
Members of the APNGOs union, and other Samaikyandhra activists blocked the minister's convoy, raising slogans against him. They demanded that Pallam Raju resign from his post immediately, and join the movement to keep the state united.
They accused the minister of remaining silent even when the Centre took a decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh to carve out the Telangana state.
Police had a tough time preventing the activists, who were holding black flags, from reaching near the minister's car.
However, the police managed to clear the way for the minister by taking a few activists into custody. However, they were released later. (INN)
