Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Wednesday reiterated that the bifurcation of the State Road Transport Corporation into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh units would be completed in the next two to three months.
Addressing a review meeting with the RTC regional managers at Bus Bhavan, Mahender Reddy said that the modernisation and revival of TSRTC would be initiated immediately after the completion of the bifurcation process.
He said a top model would be adopted to turn the RTC into a profit-making organisation.
He said that as per the vision of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the RTC would be connected to all the villages of Telangana.
The minister also said that private buses were illegally operating services on 500 roads across Telangana. He said that the government would first warn them before taking stern action. (INN)
