Revanth Reddy Warns Agitating Congress Workers Of Action
The Telangana Congress chief asked the Gandhi Bhavan in-charge and PCC vice-president Kumar Rao to collect the details of the agitating workers for suspension.
TPCC president Revanth Reddy today warned the agitating workers of his party of action if they continued their protests at Gandhi Bhavan, the party's State headquarters.
Some party leaders and workers have been holding protests alleging injustice to them in the appointment of the party posts. Party workers especially from the Alair Assembly constituency were agitating at Gandhi Bhavan when Reddy came there. Reddy reacted strongly to that as he said that they were violating the party's code of conduct.
Reddy told the agitating leaders that the constituency in-charge of Alair B Anjaiah had appointed the supporters of the Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy as the party presidents of eight mandals of the constituency. Referring to the opposition to the appointment of a woman leader of the party as a mandal president, he asked why they were agitating over that.
He also asked the Gandhi Bhavan in-charge and PCC vice-president Kumar Rao to collect the details of the agitating leaders for suspension if they did not stop their protests, and issued orders right away for the suspension of one Shankar Naik, who had worked as mandal president till recently, from the party.
