Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today lashed out at former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for speaking "blatant lies" against the Congress government sitting in a news channel office.
Addressing the Jana Jatara Sabha at Warangal, the Chief Minister said that KCR did not come to the Assembly to debate on the issues of Telangana, but was speaking lies sitting in a news channel for four hours.
"I am challenging KCR a debate on the Kaleshwaram project built by his BRS government if he indeed feels that it is amazing," Reddy said.
He alleged that the Kaleshwaram project had a faulty design, and asked the BRS president why the piers of the Medigadda barrage had collapsed.
Reiterating that the loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh would be implemented by August 15, the Chief Minister asked BRS leader Harish Rao to stick to his challenge of resigning as MLA and keep the resignation letter in his pocket.
"I am making the loan waiver promise with the Ramappa and Thousand-Pillar temples, and Goddess Bhadrakali, as witnesses. I will stick to my promise and loans of upto Rs 2 lakh will be waived off by August 15," Reddy said.
