Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to protect the interests of farmers of both the Telugu States as they were facing severe water problems whenever there was a dip in water level of the river.
The Chief Minister interacted with the KRMB chairman at the Prakasam barrage on Friday while the board's team was inspecting the area. He sought a judicious release of water for both the riparian States.
Replying to this, KRMB chairman H K Haldar said that team members including Member-Secretary Sameer Chatterjee would bear the views of the Chief Minister in mind and respond soon.
