RBI Asking TS Banks To Seek Cash From AP: Public Banks
Several banking organizations and federations said that the RBI was asking Telangana banks to seek cash from Andhra Pradesh.

Continuing their furore over the RBI, several banking organizations and federations said that the RBI was asking Telangana banks to approach Andhra Pradesh for cash, and also threatening over-worked employees with dismissal if they did not manage the situation.
It was imperative for the RBI to disclose the inflow and outflow of cash during the last fortnight, they demanded.
Referring to the malfunction of several ATMs since demonetization, the banking federations said that there were 6,000 odd ATMs in Telangana, and all of them needed to be recalibrated manually after the necessary technical adjustments were done. Hence the working of all the ATMs to their full capacity would take more time thus surmounting the difficulties of the people, he observed.
He said that despite various shortcomings and drawbacks, bank employees were struggling to mitigate the inconvenience being faced by the people, and the RBI had given up on the former.
As such the employees are pushed to state of depression and some of them are even developing suicidal tendencies, he observed.
The Bank Employees Federation said that it was forced to come out in the open against the RBI after waiting for a fortnight for the situation to ease, in vain.
