Actor Ravi Teja's brothers, Raghu Babu and Bharat, who were caught by the Task Force in Hyderabad for allegedly buying banned drugs, lambasted the media on Wednesday for taking photographs while they were coming out of the City Crime Station.
The 2 accused had been summoned by the police for questioning in connection to the case.
When photo journalists from the electronic and print media tried to take photographs of the 2 accused in the sensational case, they lashed out at the scribes and refused to answer questions.
The duo called the scribes 'idiots' and 'dirty fellows' before boarding their car and leaving the spot.
The media persons, meanwhile, tried to explain to the 2 brothers that they were only discharging their duties. The accused, however, were in no mood to listen.
The actor's brothers, along with one of their friends Nagesh and a Nigerian national Cheema Claymen, were nabbed red-handed by the police late on the night of August 20th, 2010. They were arrested on charges of buying the banned drug cocaine. They were later released on conditional bail.
Cheema Claymen is being accused of being their supplier.
The arrests of the 4 in the drug case led to shock and disbelief, especially in the light of their relationship to one of the top actors from the Telugu film industry.
City Police Commissioner A K Khan had then told mediapersons that the incident was one amongst the spate of cases in which the kin of the rich and famous were falling prey to drug suppliers and indulging in the highly addictive habit.
