The state government has decided to organise the Pranahitha Pushkaralu in Adilabad district from December 6 to 17.
The event will be held on the banks of river Pranahitha in 3 mandals of Adilabad district, in Arjunagutta village (Kothapalle mandal), Vemanapalle village (Vemanapalle mandal) and Thummalahotta village (Kowthapalle mandal).
Minister for endowments Gade Venkata Reddy revealed to media persons at the Secretariat that the decision to hold the Pranahitha Pushkaralu on such a large scale was taken following representations received from district legislators. He said the ZP Chairman had also met him in this regard.
The minister stated that the state is organising such an event at 3 places for the first time since 1999. A GO was also issued in favour of conducting the function, Gade said.
Minister for higher education Duddilla Sridhar Rao, (Karimnagar district) and minister for major irrigation Ponnala Lakshmaiah (Warangal district) were also present.
