PM, State Announce Ex-Gratia To Secunderabad Fire Victims
Both the union and the State governments announced compensation to the victims of the Ruby Pride hotel fire.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to a fire in a hotel in Secunderabad.
The PM also announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs to the next kin of the deceased, and Rs. 50,000 to those injured in the accident, from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
The Prime Minister's Office tweeted, "Saddened by the loss of lives due to a fire in Secunderabad, Telangana. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be paid to the next of kin of each deceased. Rs. 50,000 would be paid to the injured: PM @narendramodi (sic)."
The State government too announced compensation for the victims. Expressing grief over the accident, Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao announced that the State government had decided to give an ex-gratia of Rs. 3 lakh each to the families of the persons who were killed in the incident.
According to the police, the death toll in the fire accident had gone up to eight, and a high-level enquiry had been ordered into the incident.
The police said that over 25 people were residing in the rooms, and that a few of them suffered burn injuries while some suffocated because of the thick smoke. A few jumped from building to save themselves and suffered injuries.
Union minister G Kishan Reddy, Telangana Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali, and Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav visited the spot separately and enquired into the incident.
