PM Lays Stones For Projects Worth Rs 56,000 Crore In Adilabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated, dedicated to the nation or laid the foundation stones for multiple developmental projects in the power, rail and road sectors worth more than Rs 56,000 crore in Adilabad district.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that was Adilabad was becoming a witness to development projects related not only to Telangana but to the entire country, as over 30 development projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore were either being dedicated to the nation or having their foundation stones laid today. These projects included those related to energy, environment sustainability and road connectivity in the State.
The Prime Minister said that the Union government and Telangana had completed 10 years together, and that his government was providing all possible assistance to the State to enable it to help its citizens realize their dreams. The 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2 inaugurated today would boost the electricity generation capacity of the State, and the completion of the electrification of the Ambari-Adilabad-Pimpalkhuti rail lines and the foundation-stone-laying for two major National Highway projects in Adilabad, Bela and Mulugu would would give momentum to the development of not just the State but the entire region, while also reducing travel time, encouraging tourism and creating countless employment opportunities, the PM claimed.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Revanth Reddy thanked the PM for inaugurating/dedicating various infrastructure development projects in Telangana, and said that the State government would work together with the Centre for the development of the State.
During his welcome address, Union minister G Kishan Reddy expressed his happiness at the multiple developmental projects inaugurated and dedicated to the nation today. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, projects worth Rs 10 lakh crore had been taken up in Telangana in the last ten years, and that the Centre was committed to the overall development of Telangana.
