HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner B P Acharya on Tuesday directed officers of the Outer Ring Road project to arrange for the land acquisition compensation and contractual payment cheques at respective Zonal Offices for the convenience of the local people.
He said that the consent award proposals and forms will be made available at Zonal Offices.
The Project Director of ORR, or the designated officer will visit the Zonal Offices on Thursdays and Fridays, for completing the formalities.
Network Connectivity of these Zonal Offices with the head office will be launched on August 15, 2010, and details of planning permissions as well as Outer Ring Road Land Acquisition and other related information will be made available on the network soon.
The Master Plan and Zonal Development Plans will also be digitalized shortly, and the land use details made available on the
official website.
Local Gram Panchayats will be involved for the planned growth of the extended jurisdiction of HMDA. Additional staff, mainly surveyors and building inspectors, will be taken on an apprenticeship basis and used for identifying the illegal structures in the localities.
A separate help desk will be arranged at Zonal Offices for quick transmission of information to those who need it - land use information, guidelines to layout, building permission applications, etc.
A fresh proposal for creating one more Zonal Office to lessen the burden on the Shankerpally Zonal Office is being mooted.
The Urban Forestry Wing of HMDA will provide saplings and tree guards free of cost on a first-cum-first-served basis, initially for developing greenery in Gram Panchayat areas, covering government buildings, school buildings, hospitals, etc.
The Zonal Offices will receive indents for this purpose upto 15th August, 2010. Arrangements are being made for selling the saplings of various varieties of fruit-bearing and flower-bearing plants at reasonable rates, at
Lumbini Park,
Sanjeevaiah Park and NTR Memorial Park.
The review meeting was attended by all the heads of departments of HMDA.
