OU Students Demand CM Drop Land Takeover Bid

OU students today demanded that Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao withdraw his assurance to the poor that houses would be constructed on the campus lands.

Osmania University students today demanded that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao withdraw his assurance to the poor that houses would be constructed on the Osmania University campus lands.

On Tuesday, the OU students protested against KCR's proclamation to construct houses to poor on the university lands, and burnt his effigy at the University Arts College.

They also warned the Chief Minister that they would not keep quiet if he tried to touch the OU lands.

The OU Unemployed JAC leaders also warned that they would hound the government if KCR tried to distribute OU lands among the poor keeping the upcoming GHMC elections in view.

Nava Telangana JAC, ABVP, TNSF and several Left students' organizations participated in the protest. (NSS)
