Notification For Election To 12 MLC Seats In TS

The Election Commission today issued a notification for elections to 12 MLC seats in Telangana under the Local Bodies quota.

The Election Commission today issued a notification for elections to 12 MLC seats in Telangana under the Local Bodies quota.

As per the notification, nominations for the elections will be received upto December 9, and scrutiny will happen on December 10. Withdrawals will be permitted until December 12.

The elections will be conducted on December 27, and the counting of the votes and the declaration of the results will happen on December 30.

There are 12 MLC seats lying vacant in all Telangana districts except Hyderabad, for which the elections will be held this month. While the Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar districts have vacancies of two seats each, the Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam districts have one seat vacant each.
