The President of the Government Junior Colleges' Lecturers' Association Madhusudhan Reddy today said that he was not scared of the "threats" being made to him by the former secretary of the board Naveen Mittal.
He alleged that Mittal had taken a Rs 6 crore bribe from a firm to hand over the work of online evaluation of Intermediate answer sheets to another firm which was just a proxy for Globarena, the company which was in the eye of a storm for allegedly botched evaluation in 2019 and which had been stripped of that work then.
He alleged that Mittal had struck a deal with the new firm taking a Rs 3 crore bribe to hand over the answer sheet evaluation contract to it, and that Mittal had taken another Rs 3 crore to give a clean chit to Globarena in the accusations against it in the evaluation of answer sheets in 2019.
He also asked Mittal if a firm by name Koyamt took part in the pre-bidding meeting held by him (Mittal), and demanded that Mittal reveal the details of the bid of the firm. He added that the last date for the completion of the bidding process was the 9th of this month.
Reddy said that the work of Globarena had not only made 10 lakh intermediate students suffer but also led to the suicides of 20 students, and that he would not go back on his allegations even it cost him his life.
He dared Mittal to prove his (Reddy's) allegations wrong by taking a vow in front of the idol of Amma Vaaru in the Commissioner's office, and added that he was ready to take a vow that his own allegations were true.
