Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president K Chiranjeevi on Sunday sought to dispel speculations that his party would be joining the government.
Talking to media persons after paying rich tributes to mark the 120th death anniversary of Jyotiba Phule at the party office in Jubilee Hills, the actor-turned-politician rubbished the reports appearing in a section of media stating that the PRP would join the government. Media speculation is rife that at least 3 cabinet berths would be given to the PRP.
Terming this as media creation, Chiranjeevi stated that there was no truth in the reports and said that media had exaggerated the cabinet formation issue.
When media persons tried to elicit the PRP chief's views on whether there could be a delay in the formation of the cabinet till the time the Congress High Command took a clear stand on defiant Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Chiranjeevi refused to be drawn into the controversy.
Party senior leaders Allu Aravind, Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, B Veda Vyas, Gowtam and Vasireddy Padmavathi were present.
