The National Green Tribunal in Chennai today stalled the construction works in the Palamur - Rangareddy project in Telangana.
The tribunal issued orders staying the works immediately, according to information.
The NGT said that the AP government had correctly said that the Telangana government had not gotten the necessary environmental clearances.
The tribunal instructed the officials of the Telangana government to stop the works and get the permissions required first, and said that it would give permission for continuing of work if Telangana got the necessary clearances.
