Newly Elected MLAs Take Oath In Assembly
Senior MLA from the AIMIM Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has been appointed as the Protem Speaker, administered the oath of office to the new members.

The first session of the Telangana Assembly began with the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected MLAs on Saturday.
Senior MLA from the AIMIM Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has been appointed as the Protem Speaker, administered the oath of office to the new members.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was sworn in as an MLA first. He was followed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Seethakka and the rest of the cabinet ministers. Later, all the other elected members took oath.
The BJP MLAs boycotted the Assembly session as they didn't wish to be sworn in by the Akbaruddin Owaisi.
Gajwel MLA and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not attend the meeting due to ill health, neither did his son Sircilla MLA.
In all, of the 119 elected members, 18 did not take oath today. They are KCR, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, K T Rama Rao, Kadiam Srihari, Kotha Prabhakar, T Padmarao Goud, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, B Lakshma Reddy, Padi Kaushik Reddy and the eight BJP MLAs.
K T Rama Rao communicated to the Assembly Secretary that he was tending to his father who had a surgery, and appealed to the Secretary to give him another date to take the oath.
"Unfortunately I couldn't attend the BRS Legislature meeting today and the swearing in at the Legislative Assembly because of my father's medical condition. Have sought another date from the Assembly Secretary for taking the oath along with 4-5 other MLAs who have also not been able to attend today," he posted on X.
