Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of repeating the mistakes committed by the previous UPA government.
Speaking to media persons at Sangareddy, Rao reminded them that Modi had once accused the UPA of trying to usurp the rights of the States, and was now doing the same himself by delegating the law & order powers over Greater Hyderabad, the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, to the Governor.
He said that the Centre's arrogation of the rights of Telangana government would not be tolerated, and would be contested at all levels.
Rao also alleged that the Centre's dictate on the issue was the result of a conspiracy hatched by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu.
He accused them of playing dirty politics for political gains. (INN)
