Naidu Wants More Power For Governor In City: TJR
Former minister and Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of pressurizing the Centre for more powers to the Governor in the GHMC limits.
Former minister and Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy on Monday accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of pressurizing the Centre to grant more powers to the Governor in the GHMC limits.
Speaking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office, Jeevan Reddy said that Naidu had hatched a larger conspiracy to weaken the people of Telangana by taking away all their powers.
He alleged that Naidu had convinced the Centre to bring an Amendment in the AP Reorganisation Act to delegate more powers, including Law & Order in the GHMC limits, to the Governor.
Jeevan Reddy announced that the Congress party would strongly oppose the move in the Parliament. Further, he said that the Party would organise protests if the Centre introduced any such amendment. (INN)
