Minister Dayakar Rao, Mayor Rammohan Have Coronavirus

The Telangana Panchayat Raj minister and the Hyderabad Mayor are the latest politicians to get infected by the deadly virus.

Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao is under home quarantine after being treated for the novel coronavirus.

According to reports, Rao tested positive recently and got the necessary treatment at NIMS, and was discharged for home quarantine.

Sources said that some of the minister's personal assistants, gunmen and drivers also tested positive for the virus. Out of the 40 persons closely associated with him who got tested in Parvathagiri in Warangal Rural district on July 21, six tested positive. They were all shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad, according to reports.

Hyderabad (GHMC) Mayor B Rammohan also tested positive for the virus. Though he has no symptoms, the Mayor is reportedly in home quarantine. Rammohan had tested negative earlier.
